HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all of you that love coming to this site every day or even if this is your first time.  We feel so blessed that you choose to spend some of your time and experiences with all the women who need it.  Most of all "thank you" for caring enough about yourself to seek out the help of other women to make your journey a little easier.

WomenHelpingWomen introduces ConnectWorks..

At the beginning of this holiday month, we brought together like-minded
women to share ideas and resources. Women who are: 1) Running a
Non-Profit 2) Managing a Foundation 3) Have a Social Entrepreneurship, 4)
Have an idea for one of these. It was an evening with a simple, fun
format that enabled everyone to get help with a project, share missions,
and connect with other very smart talented women – all working to make
this world a better place.

Quinn’s Prime and Vine in Portland allowed us to use their lovely
comfortable space to hold the event and also provided amazing food and
drink for us. During the evening everyone had a chance to introduce
themselves and their mission to the group. We also showcased a speaker
with a short presentation on one subject of interest to the whole group.
We happen to lucky enough to have DOUG ZANGER talk to us about social
media (a subject we all had plenty of questions about).

What we wanted was for everyone to think of how they could help each other
with what they already know. Something WHW likes to call .. using your
“Experience as Your Currency.” It sounds so simple, yet it was so
powerful. Most of the women in attendance walked away with as least one
question answered, a needed contact, useful nuggets of information
provided by Doug and or a general sense of renewed purpose in their work.
The event was simply delightful and amazingly purposeful all in one!

Did I mention this was free? Cool huh? Want to come to our next
